RxCalendar exists to solve a genuinely high-stakes problem: helping people take the right medication at the right time. That framing shaped every decision on the project — in a healthcare-adjacent app, a missed notification isn't just a bug, it's a real failure for the person relying on it.

I built the scheduling engine, the reminder system, and the app's core UI, working closely with a Node.js/Firebase backend for data and notification delivery.

Missed doses and confusing schedules are a real adherence problem, especially for patients managing multiple prescriptions with different dosages, frequencies, and timing rules. The app needed to make that complexity disappear for the user while still handling it correctly underneath.

The core of the app is a scheduling engine that handles recurring and custom dosage patterns — daily, multiple-times-daily, as-needed, and everything in between — in React Native, backed by a Node.js/Firebase service layer for persistence and sync.

Notification handling got particular attention: reminders needed to be scheduled correctly across time zones and device states, and remain reliable even if the app hadn't been opened recently, since that's exactly the scenario the feature exists for.

RxCalendar is published on both the App Store and Google Play, now helping users stay on top of their medication routines — the unglamorous, high-trust kind of software that only gets noticed when it fails, which is exactly why it was built to not fail.
